for your viewing pleasure

you know you live in the movie capital of the world when you receive emails from local yoga studios regarding changes to this sunday's class schedule (btw, the oscars will be aired LIVE at 5pm pacific time)...

from silver lake yoga:

Watch the Oscars - Guilt Free!
Due to historically low attendance during the Academy Awards (hey, we're still in a company town), Sunday evening classes will be canceled. There will be no 5:30 pm Slow Flow class, nor the 6:30 pm Restorative class.

from swerve:

This Sunday, February 22nd, World Beat Workout will be offered at the special time of 1:30 - 2:45 to accommodate your Academy Awards viewing pleasure!

from yummy yoga:

Oscar Night - Evening Classes Cancelled
Sunday, Feb 22, Ducky's Sunday 10:00 AM All Levels class will be held as usual; the 5:30 PM and 7:15 PM classes are cancelled.

When, or if, you decide to become a Yoga teacher, you should start with a basic Yoga teacher training course that gives you an overview of all of the

fields within Yoga. If you decide to specialize, it is best to do it when the need becomes apparent.

since i had nothing better to do that night, i stayed home and watched the oscars. and it's probably the first time in a looooong time that i'd watched it from beginning to end!

IF i ever decided to become a teacher, i would definitely take a teacher training course, but it would have to be somewhere near home. there's no way i could afford to do one for an extended period of time in another city, much less another country!
