Yoga by the Beach with Shayn Almeida
*DONATION BASED YOGA CLASSES*
Classes are located on the grass just a few blocks North of Rose Avenue @ Ocean Front Walk and Barnard Way (Border of Venice and Santa Monica).
Classes held daily - Monday through Friday 9-10:30 AM / Evenings/Weekends: TBA (June)

‘Yoga by the Beach’ classes blend the traditional elements of being outdoors, breathing fresh air and an ocean breeze, with a modern approach to the Vinyasa Flow style, and attention to everyone's personal and individual needs.
With clear focused attention towards opening our awareness, connecting, and relating to all areas of the body, each of these classes will release tension and build strength on all levels: Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual.
Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, breathing, flexibility, as well as core strength in order to increase range of motion, and create peace of mind to bring about clarity and the ability to focus, offering a renewed source of energy, and a stronger more supple body.
Regardless of your level of experience this is a strong and challenging class that you will definitely enjoy. Come on down and invite your friends.

I teach a fun and funny class, an eclectic style informed by many yogic traditions, custom-designing the practice to your needs. I'm 48, so I've hurt myself enough that I can teach you not to. We have fun celebrating being fully alive in the bodies we have right now. I'll remind you how perfect and radiant you truly are!
I start with a comic monologue as you sit and meditate and laugh and get the endorphins going. Then, we move into some seated “yin” yoga poses, or what I call “little yoga” as we hold certain other poses like seated, wide angle forward bend, my special guest comic does some “spiritually incorrect comedy” for your yogic pleasure.
Comedy Yoga on the beach is fun, stretchy, strengthening, deeply nurturing, entertaining, enlightening, focused, peaceful, gratifying and green. The intention of the class is to deliver so much value to you on the level of BEING that it impacts every aspect of your life and creates peace on earth.
~Join us for the funnest yoga on earth. Must like laughing. And dolphins~
