everyone loves a party!

i received an email invite from the newly-relocated iyengar institute here in LA, and because it specifically said that the event is open to all -- and even better, it's FREE to all -- i'm sharing that invite with all of you:

The Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles (IYILA) is hosting an Open House and Celebration on Saturday, October 11, from 3-7PM

The event is free and open to all, and is to celebrate IYILA's spacious new location in the La Cienega Plaza at 1835 South La Cienega Blvd., Suite 240, Los Angeles, CA 90035

3 pm - Open House with tea and sweets

4 pm - Rangoli Dance Company presents "Splendor of Indian Dance" featuring Bharatanatyam (classical dance of India) and folk dances. The performance pays homage to sage Patanjali and Lord Shiva

5 pm - Video greeting from BKS Iyengar followed by remarks from Manouso Manos and a keynote talk by Paul Cabanis

6 pm - Vegetarian Indian dinner

la cienega plaza is located on la cienega boulevard half a mile north of the I-10, directly across the street from bikram's yoga college of india. the iyengar institute is located in the same building as staples and 24 hour fitness.

parking is free and plentiful (and how often can you say THAT in LA?).
