it seems that since i haven't had the time to compile this month's list of events (with only two days left in the month!), the best thing for me to do at this point is to post upcoming events as i catch wind of them...

The Sutras are a modern translation of the Vijnana Bhairava, a classic tantric text. My friend Lorin Roche has dedicated the last 20 years to bringing them forth, and the language is in credibly vibrant. Denise Kaufman and I began encouraging people to get up and read them over improvised grooves at a yoga retreat in Mexico last November.

The results have been wildly ecstatic, evoking beat poetry, rap and psychedelia simultaneously, with music to match. Every time we've done this it has been a surprising and joyous experience. ~ Dave Stringer
