holiday eco-shopping

on black friday, while shoppers were busy elbowing their way through the crowds at the malls, i was calmly shopping online for one-day deals at store websites.

then on cyber monday, while bargain hunters were busy scouring the internet for deeply discounted merchandise (while they were trying to look productive at the office), i was strolling up and down store aisles, looking for stuff on sale.

either i'm a smart shopper, or i just have the whole holiday shopping thing down wrong...

one thing i know for sure is that crowds or no crowds, deals or no deals, i'm going to be at the eco gift festival next weekend. not only is it in my neck of the woods -- which means i can bike or take to the bus to it -- but it will feature all kinds of eco-friendly food and merchandise. and even better yet, part of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

Tickets
$10 per day; $20 for a weekend pass. Children under 12 and Seniors over 65 get in for free. Tickets may be purchased at http://www.ecogift.com/

$8.00 at the venue; Overflow parking is available at the corner of Colorado and Main Street
