another studio closes its doors

thanks to a comment recently posted by an anonymous soul on my post on yoga house toluca lake, i just found out that the studio is now closed, effective the first of this month. wow. i guess i would have seen that coming had i been a regular student there, but since getting to burbank/toluca lake is a bit of a drive for me, i just haven't been able to keep up with all the goings-on at that location (and i thought i was on the yoga house mailing list. did i miss an email somewhere?)

but not to worry; the pasadena location is still alive and well :)

here's the official word from the yoga house website:

A MESSAGE TO OUR TOLUCA LAKE STUDENTS

We regret to inform you that Yoga House Toluca Lake will be closed as of August 1, 2007.

Classes will continue to be held as scheduled through July 31, 2007. If you have unused and unexpired classes remaining on your series as of August 1, 2007 we invite you to choose from the following three options:

• Finish Your Classes at Yoga House Pasadena
Your class series will be honored at our original Pasadena location with no expiration date. You can take your classes there at any time.

• Receive a Credit for Merchandise
We'll issue you a credit for the value of unused and unexpired classes remaining on your series as of August 1 that you can use toward a purchase at our shop in Pasadena: books, props, tea, CDs, clothing, jewelry, etc. Store credits will be made available in Pasadena after Tuesday, July 31, 2007.

• Request a Refund
Yoga House will issue you a full refund for unused and unexpired classes remaining on your series as of August 1, 2007. Refunds will be mailed no later than September 30, 2007. To request a refund, please call our Pasadena studio at (626) 403-3961 after Tuesday, July 31, 2007.

The deadline to receive merchandise credit or to request a refund is December, 2007.

It has been our pleasure practicing with you this past year and we will miss you all. We hope that you will maintain your practice of yoga and continue to reap its many benefits for years to come.

Sincerely.
